Helvetii is out now!

Helvetii is a beautiful, hand-drawn game based on Gallic Celtic mythology that has so much heart and dedication put into it that it…well, it’s special. I’m very glad to have been a part of this special project.

This is probably my most dark and exploratory soundtrack yet. I used tons of sampling and sound mangling techniques to augment super lyrical orchestral tones for a wild mix of dark and gritty electronic with soaring organic. The icing on the cake is the voice of the amazing Emi Evans, who you’ll know from countless famed video games. She is heavily featured across many tracks and her performances blew even my mind … and I wrote the music!

It’s out on digital platforms including Steam, and also available as a physical release here.

And my soundtrack is available now too! It’s available on all streaming and digital platforms now. Thank you so much for your support.

It's a double soundtrack release day! River City Girls 2 and RWBY Arrowfell soundtracks are out!

For as long as I’ve been writing videogame music I’ve never had two soundtracks come out on the same day…until today! Both River City Girls 2 and RWBY Arrowfell official soundtracks are out on all platforms — iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Tidal and more!. These two titles represent years of work so it’s so nice to finally see them out there. And fans are eating them up already so that’s also a relief.

Oh, and the official River City Girls 2 vinyl release is still on its way!

Ray's The Dead Original Game Soundtrack is now available!

a2684616537_10.jpg

I'm very pleased to share that the Ray's The Dead Original Soundtrack is now available! Look at that cover art! I had an total 80s blast writing music for this game. The combined efforts of myself virt, Disasteradio, & others really come together to make a total jam of a soundtrack.

I approached this work like a jam. It's me at my most relaxed: just some outboard synths and a mixer and some beats and just synth jamming. It was super fun to do. And there's some pretty wild stuff from me in here. I hope you enjoy! Get your copy here.

Sparklite Original Soundtrack available for preorder now!

EITYHsaXsAE6W9o.jpg

YAY! You can preorder my soundtrack for Sparklite right now! After four years of development and a year of yours truly writing music for it I’m so excited for this game to come out! It releases on all platforms on Nov 14 but the soundtrack comes early, dropping Nov 7. Those that preorder will save some money. Also, on launch day beautiful full-color digital liner notes for the soundtrack unlock as well.

But I'd say don't listen until you play the game for full effect -- one of the few times I'd say this.

And it’s not too late to preorder a physical version of Sparklite as well! Look at this lovely thing!

Out Now: The Long Return

a0122167387_10.jpg

Today marks the release of my latest soundtrack for a lovely upcoming game called The Long Return. It’s a gorgeous puzzle adventure that tells the story of an orphaned cub. You follow along as he retraces his steps through the last journey he took with his mother. It’s…emotional. And hopefully you hear that in my score.

On the personal side this project came along at a time where I was really feeling the need to express myself musically. I’m lucky to get to create music for games everyday but sometimes you just have that need to go all out into your own direction. Developer Max Nielsen let me do exactly that and I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunity. Being able to pour my heart into this meant so much to me. I hope you hear that in it too.

Anyway, it’s out now! On Bandcamp, iTunes, on Spotify, and really everywhere else. I would love it if you gave it a listen. It’s probably my most personal work yet so it would mean a lot to me.

This soundtrack was an awesome tag team effort between Megan McDuffee, Chipzel, Cristina Vee, Nathan Sharp, and myself. And if you missed it, River City Girls is a continuation of the classic River City (Kunio-kun) franchise. BARF! It comes out on all platforms on September 5!

Ah the soundtrack art is so cute!

Ah the soundtrack art is so cute!

I’m very happy to share that Sparklite, a beautiful roguelike adventure game by Red Blue Games, is getting a physical release this October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. I’ve been having a blast writing a GameCube-style score for it this past year. And that score comes with the newly announced Sparklite Signature Edition. A copy of the game, a signature sleeve and box, a Nano Block figure, a numbered certificate, and a copy of my soundtrack will be included. Preorders go live this Friday at Signature Edition Games.

As for details on the soundtrack release, stay tuned!

The soundtrack to Majula Frontier is now available for purchase and streaming through several distributors and stores. This role-playing game score has a modern, melodic heart and covers many different styles across its 14 tracks. I’d absolutely love if you took a listen — while it’s not a big release this is some of my favorite work yet!

I had the pleasure of speaking with Hardcore Gamer on my work on this soundtrack. Please check that out for more details and song samples if you’re interested.

Wizard of Legend soundtrack is out Right now!

51oxsHeQJvL._SS500.jpg

Wizard of Legend launches tomorrow on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC but my soundtrack is out a day early on several music platforms. Speaking of early: early reviews are still trickling out but the word seems good already! I was delighted to see that Bonus Stage called my work "an absolutely sweeping and enthralling score."

It would mean the world to me if you'd buy and listen to this soundtrack. It's available now on iTunes, Amazon Music, Google Play, Spotify, Line Music, and Tidal. And Bandcamp! It will release on additional platforms in the coming days and I'll update this post accordingly as they come up.

I wrote this soundtrack over the course of a year, working with developers Contingent99 along the way to carefully match the game's various stages and challenges. Given that the game features super fast gameplay that revolves around magic spells and combos, I wanted to mix sharp, high-tempo synthesizer work with soaring orchestral backing. It took us awhile to figure out how that would work and we definitely went back to the drawing board a couple of times. I truly hope it does this awesome game justice.

Please let me know what you think!

Chief Puzzle Officer is out, and so is my soundtrack!

Today marks the release of Chief Puzzle Officer, a really neat battle-puzzle RPG that has multiplayer battles, a great storyline, and some awesome systems. It's out now on iOS and Android.

I composed all of the music and crafted all of the sound effects. Speaking of, the official soundtrack has also been released today and I hope you'll give it a listen and purchase. It spans all styles and has lots of variation, like a...well, role-playing game. I hope you enjoy it! I think my favorite of the bunch is "Battle Formations."

There are some unreleased songs from this project as well -- I'm going to see if we can't release those too. But for now, enjoy!

Chief Puzzle Officer

Chief Puzzle Officer is a really unique multiplayer Match-3 game that I had the pleasure of working on last year, and it's just now coming out for mobile platforms. Well, it's out for Android devices now, and the Apple release is very soon.

So it's a puzzle game, but there's PvE. And guilds. And 3-on-3 battles. Crazy, right? It's super neat and I can't wait until it's out on all platforms so everyone can see how unique it is.

I'm also looking forward to the soundtrack release. You wouldn't guess from looking at it, but this is a huge game, and I did a console level of music for it. It's coming very soon so keep an eye out.

I got to work with one of my heroes again!

Last year had me working with two greats from the Japanese game music world. I teamed up with Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana, Soul Caliber V, more ) for the soundtrack of a role-playing game that is coming later in 2017. And I worked on an animated short with Norihiko Hibino (Metal Gear series, Bayonetta, many more) too!

This year sees the release of a PC game called Toricky, and Kikuta and I teamed up on that one as well. Well, he laid out the main theme and I held the rest of it down. It's a flying game, so I wrote songs that were airy and light. It's out on Steam now, and if you're interested in both the game and my soundtrack, there's a discoutned bundle of game and soundtrack available!
