Dreamscaper is out NOW! Nintendo Switch and Steam

Finally! It’s like waking up from a dream. After three years (and about 55 pieces of music) Dreamscaper is truly complete and out now on Nintendo Switch and Steam. It’s a game where you work through your pain and struggles in your lucid dreams and your subconscious, with a unique rouge-lite type combat and relationship building gameplay blend. There’s really nothing like it and I’m so glad I got to set it to music.

The Nintendo Switch and Steam versions are out now. And on Steam you can get a nicely discounted bundle that includes my soundtrack — the biggest soundtrack I’ve ever done. Oh! And that soundtrack is available everywhere — and a super deluxe double vinyl is coming soon!

The reviews so far? Good. Very good. So good that I’ve been a constant state of shakiness and elation for the past day or so. Pins and needles. Really, like a dream.

If you’re wanting to hear what the last three years of work for me sounds like on Dreamscaper you can get that today as we’ve released the soundtrack just ahead of the game’s launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam next week. It’s huge at 53 tracks, and its emotions run the full range as you follow Cassidy’s journey into her own pain and memories through dreams.

It’s available now on Apple Music, Spotify, Bandcamp, and everywhere else! I hope you enjoy it!

And as for the game, you can wishlist it for Nintendo Switch or Steam right now!

Dreamscaper Original Soundtrack released today!

dscover.jpg

I’ve been scrambling to get the Dreamscaper soundtrack ready. I was honestly not prepared for the number of requests for a soundtrack release that rolled in this past week, though it warmed my heart to receive them. So here it is! An hour’s worth of music directly from the beautiful and now popular (Very Positive rated on Steam, at 95%!) game. I’m so happy to be able to share it with you after two years of writing.

It’s coming to all storefronts and streaming platforms in the coming days. And, very soon, it’s also coming to Steam as a soundtrack as well as a game+soundtrack bundle!

Here’s where you can buy and listen as of now:

Apple Music
Spotify
Bandcamp
Several more storefronts

In the coming weeks I’m going to post a full-blown liner notes and soundtrack explainer here on my website. This one is ripe with good stories!

As always, thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me.

Dreamscaper is out now!

I'm thrilled to announce that Dreamscaper is now available. To set a dream to music over these past couple of years has been...well, like a dream. I poured my heart into this soundtrack just as much as the rest of the team did into the game. I think the end result is something very special. But I honestly had a good idea it would be special from the outset.

A game about battling inner demons inside a dreamscape sounded like a…well, dream come true for any music maker. Okay — I’ll stop that. But know it really was like being in my own sort of dreamscape being able to be completely free to create and explore what this game’s world would sound like. It ended up being a dynamic soundtrack, with music that dreamily morphs between a calm, exploratory lull up to a full-on nightmare’s pace. As main character Cassidy struggles with inner demons and memories I did my best to express that all through music too. This ended up really pushing my boundaries and I’m very happy with where I was able to take it all.

It’s best if you just hear and see it for yourself. This is probably the proudest I’ve ever been of something I’ve worked on. I suppose you only really feel that way when your self expression comes through loud and clear. I feel lucky to have gotten there.

Of course, we all hope this game does well after the years of work that went into it. But I was telling the team last night that somehow I have this strange sort of calm, resounding peace about Dreamscaper. No nerves at all. Like a warm memory that everyone gets to share in.

Please check it out. Also, check out our amazing launch trailer, right above! Creating the music for that was a thrill!

Dreamscaper: Prologue is out and it's a smash hit!

Screen Shot 2020-04-11 at 11.14.13 AM.png

I’m proud to share that Dreamscaper: Prologue is out and that the reception has been fantastic. Dreamscaper is a beautiful, dreamy action game from Afterburner Studios, and I’ve been writing music for it over the past year or so. This prologue gives players an opportunity to play the first 4-6 hours of the game as a sort of preview of our full release later this year.

The reception has been overwhelming! We hit the front page of Steam and topped several of the charts from the first day! And as of now, just three days later we’re nearing 500 “Very Positive” reviews on Steam alone. Tens of thousands continue to play and the feedback has been overwhelming and very, very encouraging.

And the things said about my soundtrack so far have made my heart soar. I’m so happy.

I’d love nothing more than for you to check it out yourself! Oh, and the best part? It’ll cost you absolutely nothing.
